Happy Pi Day! Yet another year where I fail to plan a post in time to properly celebrate 😅🥸 but I’m celebrating my amazing new apron from @meyoco and the best bagel sandwich I’ve had in months: jalapeño, onion, & tomato omelet with pepper Jack and cheddar, topped with avocado, made by yours truly on a @breadalonebakery plain bagel. The little things seem so big “these days.” I went on a nice long walk/adventure, got three of these - jalapeño sausage cheese, mushroom goat cheese, and this cherry and sweet cheese - and I could still have eaten four more @brooklynkolache. Trying out @alisoneroman’s cinna’bun recipe... can has lil a frosting?? As a cool down??? Happy Valentine’s Day! I bought a tiny, heart-shaped waffle maker for $10 at Target and ordered a shipment of @jenisicecreams “for bae.” Their recent “ice cream for breakfast” line is the vibes I want after nearly a year in quarantine. The Skillet Cinnamon Roll and the Everything Bagel have a base of CREAM CHEESE flavored ice cream 🤯🤩😋 The everything bagel “gravel” is crunchy and addictive, but the tiny pieces of pastry and thick caramel in the Cinnamon Roll make it my favorite of the two. I cannot and will not compare it to the delicious, differentiated swirls of the cold brew and coconut cream flavor. 🙈😌 Thanks for a sweet Valentine’s Day @jenibrittonbauer 🤗😘 I’ve been journaling on each quarter of the moon’s phases during quarantine, so I’ve been excited to “observe” the #LunarNewYear as part of a greater spiritual vigil this year. But as we celebrate with dumplings and prosperous well-wishes, I am keenly aware of the anti-Asian racism boiling in America right now. Appreciating and self-educating today, and putting good vibes out into the universe for all my Asian, Asian-American, and Half-Asian friends: may you have protection and ease find you this year of the ox. New Piebrary post, featuring savory oatmeal, @alisoneroman’s chicken and dumplings (made with, like, a single purple carrot), and a chocolate stout pie with ginger snap crust and toffee “bone bits” inspired by Tamsyn Muir’s Gideon the Ninth. The post itself is mostly thoughts on @jiatortellini’s Trick Mirror and the internet these days. Link in bio! I was gifted a @barpatea home edition sampler for Christmas! Woke up with a hankering for bubble tea instead of coffee and will NEVER take boba (or how long they take to prepare) for granted again. 😅🙈🥸 A Dolce dump! I love my little coffee beans more than actual coffee 🥰💙😸 Cold-sensitive, color-changing Christmas nails and Luc Sante’s Low Life: Lures and Snares of Old New York.
